Hibiscus showing damage from frost last week

What a difference a few days can make. After last weeks sub-freezing night time temperatures I was more than ready to take the frost covers off of my plants. On Saturday the forecast was for temperatures up into the 70's for the next several days so I spent Saturday morning removing my frost covers. Most of my plants did ok but a few look bad.
As the picture shows some of my plants look really bad. With proper trimming they should come back just fine. I should warn you to try and wait until the end of February before doing any trimming or pruning as we could still get a late season cold snap. I know it's hard to look at your landscape looking like this but once the chance of any frost has gone your plants will have a better chance of coming back if you wait to trim any of them. Also remember that even though it is officially winter your lawn and plants still need watering.
Good luck and we will talk again soon!
